Educational group

An Educational Group is considered: 2nd Cycle Pre-School, Primary, Secondary, Advanced Secondary, Professional Training, Universities, School-Workshops, Employment Workshops and Trade Schools.

The purchase of tickets will always be done through a registered user.

Your registration will also allow you to access the private area of clients, identifying yourself with your user name and password. From this area you can:

  • Consult the status of your purchases.
  • Modify your reservations as long as the payment for them has not yet been made.
  • Pay for your reservations.
  • Carry out the reprinting of the issue notes.

You must pay the booking fee 30 days before the visit. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.

You can purchase tickets between 30 days and 24 hours before the visit, but in this case you will not be able to make a reservation, but will be able to proceed directly to the payment of the tickets.

According to the Order of Public Prices of 19 October 2023, admission will be free for educational centres from European Union and Latin American countries, subject to prior reservation and in accordance with the free admission quotas established for each of the museums

Free tickets for educational groups will not be available at weekends

Free school groups hiring the services of official guides must pay for the group guide system. Official guides may use their own guides.

The minimum number of people per group is 9. The maximum number of people per group per site is:

  • Palacio Real de Madrid, Real Monasterio del Escorial, Valle de Cuelgamuros, Palacio Real de Aranjuez, Palacio Real de La Granja, Palacio Real de Riofrio, Palacio Real de la Almudaina and Monasterio de Yuste is 30 people plus the guide
  • Monasterio de Huelgas and Real Monasterio de Santa Clara is 35 people plus the guide
  • The Royal Palace of El Pardo is for 25 people plus the guide
  • The Royal Collections Gallery and Barefoot Monastery is 20 people

Only 8 reservations per use and day can be made.

On the day of the visit you must accredit the reservation.

The assigned hour in the reservation of tickets is an estimate (except in Royal Palace of El Pardo, Monastery of Las Descalzas, Monastery of La Encarnación, Monastery of Las Huelgas, Monastery of Santa Clara and Monastery of Yuste, where time is strict), asking you for the utmost punctuality in arriving at the box offices. In the case that the assigned hour for entry is passed for causes not attributed to Patrimonio Nacional, another entry time will be assigned if possible. If the capacity is complete, the refund of the amount of the entry paid will not be possible.

Groups should show the presentation letter of their center at the box office, and bring teachers, school monitors or tutors, advisable, with knowledge about the museum.

To those that had made the payment for the total amount of the purchase an issue note in PDF format will be sent as an attached file to the provided e-mail address. Those that only made the reservation will receive in their e-mail the confirmation thereof.

Agency

  • Modify your reservations as long as the payment for them has not yet been made.
  • Pay for your reservations.
  • Carry out the reprinting of the issue notes.

Members of groups of official tourist guides can benefit from the reduced or free admission, for which it is necessary that the person registered as a guide on the booking is the person who will be present with the group on the day of the visit and will carry out the visit. If this is not the case, the difference between the reduced or free rate and the Agency's basic rate will be paid.

Groups obligatorily must carry own official guide for the visit to any Patrimonio Nacional Museum.

In the Royal Palace, no official agencies/guides (up to 8 persons) without reservation will be allowed from 10:00 to 14:00.

A Cultural Group is considered as: the Cultural Associations, Institutions, Foundations, Post-graduate Schools in Fine Arts.

    • Guided visit with hiring of an official guide.
    • Guided visit with Patrimonio Nacional guide.
  • Palacio Real de Madrid, Monasterio de El Escorial, Palacios Real de Aranjuez, Palacio Real de La Granja, Palacio Real de la Almudaina y Monasterios de Yuste:
    • Free visit.
    • Guided visit with the hiring of an official guide
    • Guided visit with the complement of a Patrimonio Nacional guide
  • Gallery of Royal Collections
    • Self-Guided Visit

The documentation that permitted the acquisition of the Reduced and/or Free Tickets shall be presented at the entrance to the museum. In case of not being able to do so, the corresponding difference must be paid in the Box Offices.

To those who made the payment for the total amount of their purchase an issue note will be sent in PDF format as an attached file to the provided e-mail address. Those that only made the reservation will receive the confirmation thereof in their e-mail.

Cultural groups taking the guided tour accompanied by a teacher certified by the cultural group or hiring the services of an official tour guide must pay for the guided group rate. Official guides may use their own.

Tourist guide

  • Pay for your reservations.
  • Carry out the reprinting of the issue notes.

Prior reservation is advised.

The minimum number of people per group is 9. The maximum number of people per group per site is:

  • Palacio Real de Madrid, Real Monasterio del Escorial, Valle de Cuelgamuros, Palacio Real de Aranjuez, Palacio Real de La Granja, Palacio Real de Riofrio, Palacio Real de la Almudaina and Monasterio de Yuste is 30 people plus the guide
  • Monasterio de Huelgas and Real Monasterio de Santa Clara is 35 people plus the guide
  • The Royal Palace of El Pardo is for 25 people plus the guide
  • The Royal Collections Gallery and Barefoot Monastery is 20 people
