Description
To celebrate the second anniversary of its opening, the Royal Collections Gallery brings back open-air cinema at the Mirador. After sunset, enjoy a series of four Spanish films exploring themes of history and monarchy. This program aims to unite different art forms in one of the city’s most unique settings while offering cultural context to the collections on display in the Gallery.
Synopsis
A feature-length documentary exploring the events surrounding the 1521 uprising in the Crown of Castile, known as the "War of the Communities," and its lasting impact on Spanish history. In the early 16th century, the Crown of Castile was one of Europe’s most powerful kingdoms. During the initial years of his reign, Charles I of Spain faced a significant revolt known as the War of the Communities.
