Description
To celebrate the second anniversary of its opening, the Gallery of the Royal Collections brings back its summer cinema series at the Mirador. After sunset, audiences can enjoy a cycle of four Spanish films related to history and monarchy. The goal is to unite different forms of art in one of the city’s most special locations and provide cultural context to the collections exhibited at the Gallery.

Synopsis
After years of war between France and Spain that have left both nations weakened, Philippe of Orléans, Regent of France, initiates a plan to secure peace between the two countries. He arranges the marriage of his 12-year-old daughter, Mademoiselle de Montpensier, to the heir to the Spanish throne, and of Louis XV, the future King of France, to 4-year-old Mariana Victoria, Infanta of Spain. A teenager and a child will find themselves caught in a web of alliances, betrayals, and power games.
