Description
The program provides an overview of sacred music between the late 18th and 19th centuries, combining vocal repertoire and pieces for solo organ. The works of Boccherini, Haydn, and Rossini are part of the European liturgical tradition, while the elevations and offertories of the Museo Orgánico Español—Gómez Carrión, Metón, Eslava, and Ledesma—illustrate Spanish organ practice, its ritual function, and its specific harmonic and formal language.
