Registration and price: The activity is organized into separate days, so children can be registered for:
- Just one day
- Several days
- All five days
Each day has its own content within the general program
👥 Capacity: maximum 25 participants. Places will be assigned in order of registration
💶 Price: €12 per child per day
📍 Location: Royal Collections Gallery, Madrid
➡️ Access: Access to the Gallery must be 15-10 minutes before the start of the activity via the entrance on the Explanada de la Almudena. Meeting point for families: Entrance hall to the Gallery on the ground floor
👤 Age: for children between 6 and 12 years old

Description
Over five days, we will delve into the studios of court artists through the pieces part of the Royal Collections. We will not only discover how painters and sculptors worked, but also architects—creators of palaces and royal sites—armorers, cabinetmakers, potters, and other master craftsmen. We will observe and investigate how they trained, what materials they used, and how they organized their workshops. We will ask ourselves: How is a palace built? How is armor or furniture made? Where do pigments come from? What tools does a sculptor need?
Each day will be dedicated to a different artistic field, combining direct observation of the works with practical and experimental activities. In this way, we will understand the richness and diversity of the crafts present in the Gallery, as well as the different creative processes behind each piece, whether the result of individual work or collaboration between several masters and artisans. Throughout the workshop, and thanks to everything we have learned, we will get to work developing and shaping our own piece inspired by the artists and artisans of the court.
