Description
Can you imagine finding leaves, fruits, seeds, and trees hidden in works of art? In this family workshop tour, we will explore the rooms of the Royal Collections Gallery to discover how nature is represented in paintings, tapestries, and other objects, and what these elements tell us about daily life in the Royal Sites.
Through games and small clues, we will learn about the journey of a harvest: preparing the land, sowing, caring for the plants, waiting for them to grow, and finally, gathering their fruits. A fun way to look at artworks through new eyes and discover that behind every tree, landscape, or fruit depicted, there are also stories of life from centuries ago.
After the tour, the harvest continues in the workshop! Each family will create and decorate their own small basket using cardboard and various materials, and, using quick-drying clay, model leaves, fruits, and seeds inspired by the elements they found during the tour.
An experience to look at, touch, create... and take a little piece of the Gallery's nature back home.
