On the occasion of the first anniversary of its inauguration, the Galería de las Colecciones Reales premieres summer cinema at the Mirador de la Galería. After sunset, you can enjoy a cycle of four Spanish films, related to history and the monarchy, which seek to unite different arts in one of the most special places in the city and give a cultural context to the collections exhibited in the Gallery.
Synopsis
Madrid, Palm Sunday 1766. When the Marquis of Esquilache arrives at his residence, the Casa de las Siete Chimeneas, cries of ¡Muera Esquilache! can still be heard in the streets. After being horrified by the effects of the looting to which his house has been subjected, the Italian minister of Charles III, accompanied by Fernanda, heads for the Royal Palace while recalling his meetings with the king, his confrontations with the Spanish nobles, the corruption of his wife and, above all, his sentimental relationship with Fernanda.
