Description
This concert gathers an eclectic selection of Renaissance and Baroque music whose titles, in one way or another, allude to Spain. The concert opens symbolically with Triste España sin ventura, composed by Juan del Enzina and included in the Cancionero Palacio. It is a lament composed on the occasion of the death of Prince Don Juan, son of the Catholic Monarchs, in whom all hopes had been placed for the reign of a newly unified Spain.
